I’m Todd Georgieff, and I’ve spent my career at the intersection of clinical operations, strategic innovation, and digital technologies.
A 30-year native of drug development in large pharma and biotech companies, I work on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives to support the digital transformation of clinical research.
My experience includes senior leadership roles at Roche and Genentech, cross-industry collaborations and public-private partnerships. I have built and managed global clinical operations teams in a broad range of disease areas (oncology, immunology and ophthalmology) and I have overseen the execution of hundreds of clinical trials.
My recent work has focused on digital protocols, clinical trial automation, patient-clinical trial matching, data standards and interoperability, patient engagement and innovative study designs.
These technologies have the potential to make trials more accessible and to develop better treatments that will benefit more patients. I also serve as the board chair for a patient advocacy group. This volunteer role brings an additional, unique perspective to the work I do with clients, and vice versa.
My current activities fall into the following categories:
- Work with commercial stage and equity-backed software companies (usually with Product, CEO or Customer Success teams) to define customer value roadmaps and implement clinical trial technologies.
- Lead multi-stakeholder collaboration teams (cross-pharma or public-private) on technology projects that connect data, clinical trials and study participants.
- Work with small- and large sponsor teams to co-create and execute the Digital Transformation playbook, from single technology solutions to broad clinical data ecosystems.
- Advise Equity and VC investors and provide domain expertise on individual clinical technology investment opportunities in the clinical trials space.
